LARSyS Annual Meeting 2025

On July 14 and 15, 2025, the LARSyS community came together once again for its Annual Meeting, this time at the Pavilhão de Portugal. More than 200 researchers and doctoral students from the four LARSyS research units - ISR-Lisboa, IN+, ITI and MARETEC - joined to share research highlights, pitch their thesis work, and generally strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration.

As in previous years, the event combined presentations from students and researchers, an overview of LARSyS’s Thematic Lines – OCEANS, URBAN, AIR, LIFE, and INTERACTION – and contributions from external speakers, both from academia and industry.

This year’s edition also celebrated LARSyS’s renewed “Excellent” rating in the latest FCT Scientific Evaluation, a recognition of the dedication and quality of the entire community.

The meeting is always an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and reinforce LARSyS’s mission to promote a vibrant scientific culture and tackle today’s challenges through interdisciplinary research in engineering and systems. The ISR-Lisboa community who joined greatly contributed to another successful edition.
