Two ISR Teams Qualify for RoboCup 2026
The SocRob@Home project is bringing not one but two teams to RoboCup 2026, taking place from June 30 to July 6 in Incheon, South Korea. It will be the first time the competition, known as the “world’s premier robotics”, has ever been held in Asia

Partnership with Champalimaud Foundation to advance neurorobotics
Instituto Superior Técnico and Fundação Champalimaud have formalised a new strategic collaboration to create a Neurorobotics Laboratory, reinforcing the central role of ISR-Lisboa in cutting-edge interdisciplinary research. Signed on 18 February, the Memorandum of Understanding establishes a long-term framework for scientific, technological, and training cooperation, with the new lab to be integrated into the Neurotechnology Warehouse at the Champalimaud Foundation.

Final Session of AI in Interaction with the Physical World
The lecture series “Artificial Intelligence in Interaction with the Physical World” closed this February, after being started in June 2025. Hosted at the Técnico Innovation Center, powered by Fidelidade, the series took place alongside the exhibition Art with Science, curated by Leonel Moura, reinforcing the dialogue between scientific research, technology, and society.

The Técnico Innovation Summit (TIS 2026) brought together R&D units, spin-offs and industry partners to show how science becomes innovation with impact.

AI in Interaction with the Physical World: All 2025 Forums
In 2025, ISR-Lisboa partnered with Instituto Superior Técnico and successfully launched the lecture series “Artificial Intelligence in Interaction with the Physical World,” a multidisciplinary initiative running from June 2025 to February 2026. Hosted at the Técnico Innovation Center, powered by Fidelidade, the series took place alongside the exhibition Art with Science, curated by Leonel Moura, reinforcing the dialogue between scientific research, technology, and society.
