Susana

Susana Brandão defended her PhD Thesis, entitled Heat Based Descriptors For Multiple 3D View Object Recognition, on June 22 2015 at CMU. The thesis supervisors were Profs João Paulo Costeira (SIPg) and Manuela Veloso (CMU). The thesis was developed in the framework of the CMU-Portugal Program.

 

This thesis contributes to the field of object recognition by focusing on how to represent objects, allowing for their identification from an RGB-D sensor observations, considering that objects can have strong similarities or very complex shapes.
