AI in Interaction with the Physical World: All 2025 Forums
In 2025, ISR-Lisboa partnered with Instituto Superior Técnico and successfully launched the lecture series “Artificial Intelligence in Interaction with the Physical World,” a multidisciplinary initiative running from June 2025 to February 2026. Hosted at the Técnico Innovation Center, powered by Fidelidade, the series took place alongside the exhibition Art with Science, curated by Leonel Moura, reinforcing the dialogue between scientific research, technology, and society.
New Project will Advance BCI in Space
The NEURONAUT project, led by researchers at ISR-Lisboa, has been selected as one of the winning proposals of the 2025 edition of PROSSE (PROdex for Science in Space Exploration). The initiative, promoted by the Portuguese Space Agency, supports scientific projects that strengthen Portugal’s role in the field of space exploration. Each selected project will receive €50,000 in funding.
ISR-Lisboa’s 2nd Retreat Strengthens Collaboration
The second ISR-Lisboa Retreat took place with great success, bringing together researchers, staff, and PhD students for two days of connection, reflection, and teamwork under the inspiring theme “Agents of ISR: Many missions, one team.”
ISR-Lisboa Presents Cutting-Edge Work at IROS 2025
This week, researchers from ISR-Lisboa are taking part in IROS 2025 – the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, held from October 19 to 25 in Hangzhou, China.
ISR-Lisboa Joins EU Project to Clean Up Space
Space debris, from old satellites to rocket fragments, is becoming one of the greatest challenges for the future of space exploration. To address this growing threat, ISR-Lisboa is proud to join an international research consortium developing an innovative, nature-inspired solution: gecko-based adhesion technology for capturing and removing orbital debris.
The Industry of the Future: Talk on AI Robotics and Services
