Temporal Lobe Epilepsy: Crisis Prediction, Propagation Mechanisms and Microchirurgic Anatomy

The general objective of the project is the study of patients with complex partial temporal crisis of difficult medical control. The electroencephalographic signal processing for epiletic crisis prediction, paroxistic activities propagation mechanisms and microchirurgic anatomy studies are aspects under consideration. The first specific objective is the application of stochastic grammars for the crisis prediction by the recognition of sequences in the electroencephalographic signal or specific grammars in the periods preceding the crisis.
